I slept like a baby, thanks to the creative minds of geniuses who created Light, Air Conditioners, a Bed to Sleep on, they all disrupted the way things were done or achieved and I'm very grateful to them, this entire post is dedicated to innovators, founders, creative minds who work tirelessly to ensure things are much more simplified in the world today. Through out my venture to create iFixng.com (if you haven't hired artisans or handymen via my platform and you live in Lagos, you have sinned), I'm always asked one simple question, which is; "Why iFix?, Whats the motivation?", the simple truth remains that; my love for the blue collar sector is what drives me to do what I do, changing the status quo on how handymen and artisans are perceived and engaged, redefining the future of work. This is my motivation, the very reason I wake up every day excited to work with my team at iFixng, it's more than just creating a platform for me, but disrupting the entire blue collar sector.
And this brings me right to you, 'cause like I promised It's my solemn responsibility to guide young founders (yeah right, like I'm old, lol) on how to really be successful at what they do. Before you create that next solution the world really needs, be sure you're really passionate about it, changing and disrupting the way it's currently done to what the world desperately needs.
A point in question would be a few successful founders in Lagos ('cause that's where I live), who are thriving at what they do; Jason Njoku of irokotv, Mark Essien of hotels.ng, Jobberman Partners, Tolet.com.ng... these people have managed to change the way business was done before in their various industries and thus have emerged victorious.
To further drive home my point; Don't Just Create, Disrupt the entire ecosystem and you'll definitely emerge a Bill Gates of this generation.
